CASE STUDY - Eurocopter EC135 Wrap

We were recently comissioned to part wrap an EC135 Eurocopter for Bond Air Services. The aircraft was due to be leased out to East Anglian Air Ambulance for a short period. The aircraft was delivered to Bond with the original ADAC logo painted on, as this would have incurred a huge cost of a complete repaint, the solution was to wrap over the black lettering for about 1/10th of the cost of the repaint. The first process was to use white 'blockout' vinyl to obtain a uniform colour base then over wrap with primrose yellow Avery 900 supercast vinyl. There were 800 rivets on either side, all to shrink wrap over - two layers of vinyl, that's 3200 rivets in all. Total material used - 12 linear metres of white 'blockout', and 16 linear metres of cast vinyl. Total hours - 44!!! The beauty of this project is the very simple and cost effective process of returning the ship to it's original livery once the lease has expired.
